Congratulations to our Founder and CEO Kayla Hickman and She Shines: Girls Leadership Development Program, Inc. as being a 2024 recipient of the Black Belt Community Foundation Grant! Thank you for believing in our mission.

She Shines is designed to inspire and uplift girls aged 8-18. Each bi-monthly session focuses on a unique theme that contributes to the development of self-esteem, confidence, leadership, and resilience.

She Shines: Girls Leadership Development Program is tailored to encourage positive self-perception and community interaction among participants, fostering long-term personal growth and empowerment.

Our primary mission is to plant seeds of powerful self-confidence, whip-smart leadership abilities, and unshakable resilience in these young minds. We want each girl to stand tall, knowing she’s capable of handling whatever life tosses her way. Empowering girls to become confident leaders of tomorrow. Building the future, one girl at a time.
